Sometimes it can be difficult to work through a new lease or to purchase a vehicle when you're not familiar with the many terms involved. To help you out, we've been together a very short list of relevant terms:
  • DMV Fees - Any time you buy a car at a dealership, you must register and pay for license plates before you take the car with you.
  • Lending Institution - This can be any company that loans you money to put toward your new car and is most often a bank.
  • Asking Price - This refers to the price that the dealership is requesting for a vehicle.
  • Base Price - On the other hand, this is the price for the vehicle before the dealership includes any add-ons.
  • Extended Warranty - These warranties go beyond the conditions of regular warranties and are sometimes known as "service contracts."
